We have just torn down a valance in our living and dining room. Our ceiling is 1/8" wood paneling or some sort of plywood with a bit of texture. Under the valance we thought we uncovered old tile but when I checked closer, it appears to be tile look alike made of 1/8 wood again. This is hung on firring strips. We would like to drywal the whole thing but would we have to take off both of the other ceiling materials??
