Our ceiling fan light fixture has had one socket that hasn't worked for years. Every time you put a bulb in it, it blows the bulb instantly. Last night my husband put a new bulb in another one of the socket. That bulb made a popping sound and now none of the four sockets work. There was no blown circuit in the breaker box and the FAN still works. We are very confused. The fan is hard to reach (cathedral ceilings), so before we get up there and mess around with things too much, we'd like to know if it sounds like a fixable problem, or do we just need to buy a new fan? |
