I am looking for a poll or some device that we can use in my Church to replace light bulbs, the chandleriers are about 25 ft off the floor. I have seen a bulb replacing poll years ago for standard bulbs.
We have florcent "corke screw" shape bulbs and spot light bulbs facing streight down.
Any help is appriciated.

do a google on light bulb changers and you will find a number of poles and "heads".

Some of the heads are for spot lights.

And there are a number of "baskets" for incandneces. One of those might work for the CFL's.

I think that all of then use standard acme threads. The same that are used on paint roller poles and window washer poles.

You can start by looking locally at Janatorial Supply Houses and Lighting Supply House. There are companies that specialize in selling light bulbs (look under Lighting in the yellow pages) and they might have them.

You might also look at replacing somf the CFL's with round or tubular bulbs which might be easier for the grabers to attach to.

There are now CFL bulbs available in the round "globe" shape, similar to regular light bulbs. The 'baskets' on extendable light poles will work fine with those.

Another trick that often works is to glue a sheet of foam rubber packing material inside your existing 'basket'. Often that is enough to hold the corkscrew CFL bulbs in place. (But do watch out if you use it to change regular incandescent bulbs that are still hot -- that foam rubber burns easily.)
