concrete and termites

06/22/2007 01:49 PM glauster

Hi all,

I live in California. Apparently there is a new code that states that houses built on foundation, that the stucco has to be a certain distance from the ground to prevent termintes from going up.

I plan to pour concrete or put bricks in the space between the wall of the house and the common fence to a neighbor's property.

With what I said in the first paragraph, would it be a good idea to leave a space between the wall/foundation of the house and the concrete/brick walkway? If so, any idea as to how much space should be alloted?

thanks,
