Our door that leads to the garage swings open by the force of gravity. Does this cause any problems? How do we fix this?
Thanks! |

We have a lot of cold air coming in from around this door. Evident due to cold room and could see this on the infrared scan. Couldn't the door not being square and plumb cause this issue?
Thanks! |

a door can be installed out of plumb two different ways.side to side- which will cause it to swing open or closed, and forward and backward, i guess is the best way i can think of to put it.
installed improperly forward and backward- meaning if you put level on brickmold out in the garage, the top or bottom will be off, which will cause door to have a gap at the weather strip. slightly close door and see if it hits weatherstrip evenly all the way down the latch side of the door. if it was installed so out of plumb that the door is swingin open or closed, its very possible it was installed out of plumb to where door is not hitting weather strip evenly. if its installed out of plumb both ways, shoot the installer. |
