drywall Walls

10/12/2007 09:38 AM Jen8249

Years ago I panelled half of the drywalled walls in a bedroom and wallpapered the other half. Now I'm trying to remove it, but after removal of the paper, there are some spots on the drywall where the paper came off with the wallpaper. Also, the panels were glued on the drywall, and so some paper also came off, and some of the glue is still stuck on the walls. Any remedies for my problem? Can these walls be skimmed with joint compound? Thanks for all of your answers and help!

You will need to remove all of the adhesive from the wallpaper and the paneling before you skim the walls with joint compound.
