We installed Rhino Deck in 2003. It looked great for about a year. Then it stained so badly that you could not remove it. The next year one of the boards bowed up and broke. Now the boards have swollen so badly that the properly spaced boards meet and the rain does not drain through the spaces. It even catches rainwater in some places where the boards swelled so badly that they butted up against the foundation which caused a sag in the boards - that's where the water collects (see photo). You can see the siding on the house reflected in the water.
You can also see the impossible to remove stains.
Their warranty is a joke. It says it covers "checking, insect damage, and splintering." It does not cover breakage, swelling, mold or mildew ...
At $36 for a 16 ft. per long board - it's a waste of money.
We are retired and cannot afford to replace this decking. We're "decked" by Rhino Deck! |
