duration paint

08/14/2007 10:32 AM hchristie

I would like to know how duration paint has held up in jobs done years ago. I hear one job of 5 years ago has failed. Is there a better exterior paint to use that lasts longer?

The Duration product has been out several years now and has done very well. There are alot of professional painters that only use Duration and it is not a cheap product as it cost around twice of what a regular exterior paint does.

Just because a paint job does not hold up longer than five years does not mean it is the last paint job that is failing. It very well could be a previous coat of paint peeling and flaking off and taking the last coat of paint with it. No mattter how good the paint is the surface preperation that is the most important factor in how long any exterior paint job will last.

Hope this helps out.
