Dust in new house

The first thing that comes to mind is to check your furnace filter. Assuming the filter is in-place, be sure you are changing it frequently as recommended. Also, be sure the filter fits securely in the intake vent or at the furnace inlet plenum. Leaks around filters will just distribute dust throughout the house. There are high efficiency filters that can be added to a furnace, and this may be a good option for you.

Another thing to check is whether the ducts are clean. If the filters were not in place during construction, drywall dust could have been distributed through your duct system. This would be indicated by chaulky looking dust or deposites in the ductwork.
