we are considering flipping the floor plan on a house we purchased. it is a saltbox..contemporary. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths downstairs (first floor) and kit.diningroom and living room on second floor. what i would like to do is swap floor plans. I want 2 bedrooms upstairs with a master bath where the exising kitchen is and put the kitchen where the 1/2 bath and entry is on the first floor. I was hoping that using the existing plumbing hooked up into the area would help..as far as cost goes. we want to do the work ourselves..but wonder if this is possible..any advise would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Kathy, remodeling and life are the same. You can do anything that you really want to.
Just be very carefull of the drain lines. You do not want you know what coming up into you know where. These drains should be independent of each other as far as possible.
Also stick with copper for your water lines, do not use plastic.
Try to stick with the galvanized pipe for the toilet since it makes much less noise than plastic. All of your other drain lines can be plastic. Do not mix ABS plastic with PVC.
