floor asbestos

My floor is also asbestos in the basement. What can I put over this tile so I will not feel at risk for any dangers.
I have knotty pine walls and at the base of the trim there is some moisture so I am going to have someone put drywall up. I am concerned about the floor. Besides a rug what can I do to keep it in place. Should I seel the basement? I even asked the inspector when I was in the house standing on the tiles if there was any asbestos, his answer was NO> what a liar. ANyway that is a different story. Now that I own the house what do I do to seal this floor so it doesnt crack or whatever. Thanks

the simplest thing is just to get some good acrylic floor polish and keep it on there. Unless there was some kind of disintegration of the tile due to moisture you really have nothing to be concerned about.
