floor level differances

02/03/2006 10:18 PM cuda1965

I am looking at laying down some laminate wood flooring in my kitchen and dining room. What I would like to do is lay it acroos both. Currently I have linomlium flooring in my kitchen and carpet in my dining room. When I pull up my carpet it will be a little more than 3/4 lower than my kitchen floor. What's the best way to get a level floor? Try to rip up the linomlium and board down to the sub floor? or try to build up the carpet area to the same level.? I'm trying to saty away from doing two different levels of flooring.

Thanks in advance,
-Alex
