foundation/swimmingpool/boathouse

boathouse is 100'by 50'wide and each level is 15'high.
the pool/dock is 20'wide and a 100'
long and 6'deep.
question is what type of material should be used in the foundation. This structure is 150' from the pond with a cannel to be dug after the building is built.
Far as I have been told water is a foundations worst enemy. So materials
and strenght is the most important
factors to me.The structuer is being built out of 12" logs. All this weight has to be supported by a strong foundation.
So I am all ears for any suggestions you may all have on the subject.I thank you all in advance for what ever ideas you may have to offer. In
particular for info on any new products that are in the market place.
Note: The cannel will be 6" deep by
a 100 ft long.I know nothing about retaining walls or docks.
