I am building an allan block wall and need to know if filter-cloth is an acceptable replacement for geogrid? Will this stabilize my material behind the wall if placed after every second block is set???

an equivalent geo-grid substiture as there's little to no tensile strength,,, even if you plac'd it at every course, there's no benefit & much risk.
