no. just bricks and a stone window sill on the outside. plaster & tiles (it's a bathroom window) on the inside. i took out the sill to get a good look at the casement window's position. talked to my neighborhood hardware store guy. who advised me what was the only solution i could figure out: cut the steel frame and collapse it inside the brick entourage to preserve the hole. then, i could install the double hung window in place of the casement. |
