What is eating holes in our new porch screen and how do we stop it?

Just curious, how old are the screens?

I have heard of bugs, mostly grasshoppers eating holes in fiberglass screens. Any thoughts on the topic. I have customer who is needing help.
I have heard of spraying the screen with a dishsoap/water mixture to deter them, and then I have heard of adding a pesticide to that same solution. I've heard that this needs to be done about monthly.
Does anyone have any thoughts. I have talked with a manufacturer of screens, and his only response is... get aluminum screens.
