the keypad on our home security system showed that the master backup battery (12 volts 5Amperehour) was running out. We put in a new rechargeable 12V 5 AH replacement battery and the keypad still says the master backup battery is running low. What could be other causes for this problem?

Could be the charging system or a short some ware but good luck |

also, it may take a bit to charge up the new battery. |
