I have a very small house. The house is 16 x 30 and the ceiling are only 7 ft high. I really think that if I could vault the ceilings, it would give the illusion of a larger area. It is more like an efficiency. The pitch on the roof is really not that high either, so that the only thing to use the attic for is a little storage, but I have to crawl around on my knees to get the stuff up there. The rooms are 15 x 20 room, a 5 x 10 bath and a 10 x 10 kitchen. It is a concrete block structure. I really need to raise the ceiling if at all possible. I would really appreciate any suggestions and help on how to accomplish the vaulted ceiling.
