kenmore series 70 washer

11/25/2007 11:08 PM frustratedsinglemom

I noticed that the agitator is making a noise like it is slipping. When I put a little pressure on top it seems to help. What do you think is wrong and do you think that I would be able to fix it? I would hate to call a serice person out. I was able to change the motor in the dryer.
Thanks!

Model Number??

** kenmore series 70 washer **

I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number ("70 Series" isn't it).

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

- Model Number Tag Search

** the agitator is making a noise like it is slipping. **

Depending on the type of agitator used in whatever model of Kenmore washer you have, it might have worn agitator 'dogs' (see the following link).
