We ended up switching from Windsor Next Dimension single hung to the casement windows.
So far they seem to be performing a lot better - I don't see my curtains moving when the wind blows.
We were wanting to go with a different manufacturer but money talks I guess.

Windsor Windows

03/18/2007 07:54 AM Susieq1

We have not made progress with Windsor Windows until we filed a suit. At that point, Windsor's attorney and Corporate Reps surfaced for on-site inspection. No communications occurred since a legal suit had been filed. Windsor again is taking the same response that the windows do not have problems; instead, the issues rest with the installation by the home builder. In my case, unfortunately, the home builder also had construction issues. Does anybody have any current experiences with Windsor Windows including any available installation instructions that could be forwarded?

Windsor Windows

I had to call several times and eventually worked my way up the chain of command until I spoke to the president.
We also spoke of a lawsuit but never had to go that far. Windsor Windows is based in iowa and we happen to live approx. 30 minutes from there headquarters so we also spoke of advertising our problems with their windows (going to the tv stations, making signs for our yard and vehicles, etc.). They didn't like hearing that since they had just advertised an expansion. Not sure if that helped us or not but we were able to make a deal.

Windsor Windows ice build-up & rotting seals

11/30/2007 11:40 AM dskanron

Has ANYONE had real relief with this company, regarding their window defects? I built my home in 1991...the windows with southern/eastern exposure have failed seals...right within 1 year...the rest have since failed...called builder, they said windsor is the one to talk to..they had a sales rep contact me, but never came to look at them....I have read about class action lawsuits....etc...what info can anyone give me?
I want to sell my home, but don't want to sell it with these defective windows! I can't afford to replace them, either....they should be perfectly fine...not so.
thanks...

No luck contacting anyone since I initially spoke with their regional rep. They do not return phone calls or E-mails. Has anyone been able to contact them without filing a lawsuit?
