We would like to install tile in our basement. We need to know how to level the floor (concrete slab) as it has settled in spots over the years. The main problem is that the floor is covered with a type of adhesive (tarlike) that was used to put down tiles (peel and stick type. Can anyone offer advice on what we should do, I have already purchased the tile and am really looking forward to completing the project.
