luan mahogany

I would like to purchase 4' x 8' plywood veneer sheets of luan mahogany 3/8" or 1/2" in thickness but have been having trouble finding any in the Toronto, Ontario area. Can anyone provide me with a source? This would be for below grade installation in a dry basement, with the sheets being cut into panels and applied to drywall covered concrete walls.

I have also heard that after a few years this type of wood can start to give off offensive odours. I don't know if that is from off gassings or a breakdown of the glue in the presswood interior of the plywood. Does anyone have information on this?

Many thanks,

Victoria
