don't quite know what you mean by a multi router Tommy, I'll have to google it and see what you mean...
I approach things like this - I can't make the gouges we need or a #8 plane, or that kind of stuff... but if rearrange something I already have to perform another function, I've just saved money buying that tool (at least for now).... so I can put the money towards the tools that I can't make.
plus, when you're not building stuff out of poplar or knotty pine anymore, a trip to the lumber store sometimes costs more than the next tool you'd like to get! haha .... chop chop
