I am in the process of putting a metal roof on my house. I am going over the existing roof by screwing furring strips every 18 inches on center, then screwing the metal roofing to the furring strips. I would like to build a cricket behind my chimney. My question is, how do I tie the metal roofing in with the cricket?, and what do I use to "roof" the cricket?
