metal strips?

02/15/2008 02:53 PM k8davis

I need strips of metal; fairly firm, but bendable without having to use a machine; maybe an inch and a half to two inches wide. The finished item will hang on a wall, and not need to bear any weight.

I have tin snips if needed, but no idea of what to buy and snip.

The word "flashing" comes to mind, but I can't think why.

Any good ideas where/how/what will fit the bill?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

Although you fail to mention what kind of metal,

You`ll find choices of metal and sold strips from coils at Home Depot !!

Thanks much for taking the time to reply, Oddball!

I didn't mention a specific metal because I'm interested in pliability and the two inch width, and don't have a preference for what kind of metal.

Your point is very well taken, and I can see that clarifying no metal preference would certainly be helpful to those who know something about these things, and take the time to help.

You've helped me twice. First with your guidance regarding Home Depot; second with constructing a query.

Thanks!

I'll clarify this in future queries I make.
