We're having some work done on our yard. I was hoping it would be done in time for my daughter's birthday party, but unfortunately we will be stuck with half a yard of topsoil awaiting the new lawn (other half is a wooden deck). Any ideas for an inexpensive yet effective way to cover the topsoil for that day? I don't want the kids to trek it in.. I wonder if I can rent a huge tarp, or somthing? One side of the "lawn" is irregulary shaped.

I would appreciate your ideas! TIA!
