cool....kinda hard without a v tool.....if you want to...you can practice stab cuttung pedals out ...take the #20 stab straight down with light pressure then turn the gouge the other wat and do the same....be careful to line the corners ...you dont want to have a small X in the wood beyond the end of the pedal...then you dig the small piece out...i use a 1/8 chisel...go cross grain......not too deep you want to make sure the holly veneer will lay in there pretty well....so after you stab the wood ...do the same on the veneer and put it in the wood...you may have to make a few till 1 fits just right.....then....after you do that have your hot plate and sand ready....on med heat.....put the pedal in the hot sand edge wise till it starts to toast....after toasting glue it into the wood...do the middle 1 first then left ...then finish with the right...try to keep them in line with each other....its pretty fun for a little while....you can skip the toasting at first.....good luck...there is a shell carving video coming up with the show i think next week....you gotta get a v tool for them....i dont want to see you mess up the edge on you nice new tool from the dude in the truck....
