While my wife was taking a shower, I ran water in the kitchen sink and it produced a drumming in the pipes.
What could be causing this?

Check the faucets/ globe valves and shower body for a lose washer

Thanks for the fix. Kitchen faucet is the culprit. All other do not effect Shower pipes/washers.
Repairing kitchen faucet.
