outdoor water spicket

04/26/2008 09:42 AM susanb01

Hi.
I have three outside water spickets coming out of the side of the house.
When I turn two of them on, I get water.
When I turn on the other one I have nothing. Not even a sound.
What could the problem be and please provide instructions or point me in a good direction to read some instructions.
Thanks...

Sorry Susan but I doubt if anyone can tell you what could be the problem without going around making sure all the inside valves are open and then trouble shooting the bib itself as it could be blocked by a washer etc.

Thanks for the reply.
I have lived in this house for 8 years and I'm not aware of any indoor cutoff valves...
Would each spicket have it's own valve?
Thanks...

Normally I install an inside isolation valve even if the existing out side hoe bib is a frost proof model this way if the spigot needs repairs I can isolate it from the rest of the system

outdoor water spicket

Hi,
Well, it's been found.
It's inside my house behind the fridge. I'm assuming it was turned off
by the guy that moved my fridge last summer to install flooring. He disconnected my ice maker and turned off that water supply and the outdoor water spicket supply. I guess he turned back on the water for the ice maker but not the other valve...
I appreciate the support...
Take care,
Susan

I really am glad it worked out al right .. Do not forget to shut it off if you live in a zone that goes below 32 deg F and open the valve out side to drain all the water so it doesn't freeze up
