any way to change a popcorn ceiling easily? anything that can be over it to cover it up? or just scrapping it off?
it is in a raised ranch with open floor plan that means=living room, dining room, kitchen, stairwell, hallway to bedrooms all have to be done at the same time.

I scraped off a popcorn ceiling in a house long time ago. Came off pretty as you please. (OK, it made a big mess--but it came right off.) I just used a 12" drywall knife (or something like it--as I recall--this was 20 years ago so my memory isn't perfect.) (OK, it could've been yesterday and my memory still ain't perfect :)
You might want to have it checked for ASBESTOS first. Turned out our old ceiling had a very small amount of it--we found out after-the-fact.
Consider posting this in the appropriate category for more responses. Accessibility refers more to easy-access (such as wheelchair.) Good luck.
