Maybe I'm just dreaming from watching too many home fixit shoes, but I'm hoping that there exists something that I can use to drive the nails for the deck and screen porch I plan on building soon that does NOT require a compressor.

Any specific things I should be looking for? I have no idea when I look at the catalogs (such as Tool Crib) if I need a "framing nailer", a "finish nailer" or what! I only know that I need to be able to nail through lots of 2x6 and 2x4's, as well as the thinner trimwork that will be up.

Specific model recommendations are also appreciated!
