pre-pasted paper border

02/20/1999 09:23 PM

I painted my bathroom a few days ago. I followed the directions that came with my pre-pasted wallpaper border. It said to get wet for 30 seconds and then allow the paste to activate for 5 minutes. I did exactly that and when I put the border up, the edges curled. What do you suggest?

If you painted the walls with latex paint you
have to wait 30 day's before you can wallpaper. If you used oil base paint then you
have to wait 4 day's.Now to fix the problem
just go purchase wallpaper glue.Glue it and
then replace it on the wall.Do not place the
border in water just glue and replace.

You probably squeezed the paste off the edges. Its a common mistake. Get a tube of paste and see if that fixes the curling.
