I've always heard that it's best to destroy such animals and NOT re-release--even a long way away. It could be an East/West thing--but I'm not so sure (and I really don't claim to be an expert in these matters). But it makes sense from the standpoint of introducing different disease and behaviors into the wild. Your thoughts?
I also must add, the whole thing sure doesn't sound like a DIY task to me. I've had my dealings with mice and rats for years, but it definitely would be outside MY comfort zone. (Just in case you need an impartial opinion...)
