radiator installation

01/26/2000 01:41 PM harleydragonlady

We just bought an old house that had an addition put on after it was built. The heating system is radiant. Well there is no radiator in the addition and it is now being used as a full bathroom. I live in Wisconsin and I am afraid that the pipes are going to freeze and burst in the winter. My husband and I would like to install a radiator in the bathroom . My question is...Is this a job better handled by a professional or could 2 do it yourselfers get the job done? And does anyone know of any sites with radiator information? I would appreciate any help you could give me with this!
Thanks a lot!

The answer to your Q: is Yes. A Heating proffesional should look at the system. I cannot tell if you have Hot Water or Steam Heat, Room size is important, Do you want to stay with Radiator or go to Baseboard...
Your best bet is to consult an HVAC proffesional.

I hope this helped you. "Hollywood"
