Yes you can. First you must remove the existing gutters. We removed one side at a time and replaced with regular home gutters.
We used marine putty to close all screw holes;replaced screws every four inches with
stainless steel screws with washers; these were then covered with marine putty. Upon completion of the replacement we covered the entire line of screws on the gutter with a mobile home roof coating which is white and drys like rubber. (Costs per 5gal is appx $100.) The extra marine putty and
stainless steel screws with washers may have
been overkill but we didn't want leaks or rust streaks. |
