Hi, can someone give advice as to how to remove paint that got under the tape the was supposed to protect my cabinets? The cabinets now have a sloppy edge of paint along the wall and the small gap between the cabinet and the wall has places where the paint is stretched across. I dont know what to do or use to clean up this mess without hurting the cabinets or the painted wall.

If this is latex paint then try in the following order.

water, goof off, denatured alchol.

Now I have no idea of what the finish on the cabinets are. So proceed with caution.

The idea it to work on the cabinets and not the wall.

So using thing like a fingertip with a dampened rag or a putty knife with a dampened rag to that you can "work" on the cabinet and not the wall.

thanks! i'll give it a go! its latex paint. I'm not sure of the type of finish to the cabinets but the paint seems to have been absorbed in the spots where i've tried to pick it off.

If the paint is in the wood grain you won't be able to get it out.

You might want to "finish" over it.

You can get touch up stain finish in felt tipped applicators at most places where they sell wood stains.

And from the hobby/art stores you can get permanate markers in a wide range of colors.

Carefully used you can get hide the worst of the problem.
