removing porta nails

Help, we need help!

I am pulling up a sub floor that is nailed to hardwood floor. After research, the type of nails used is the 2" porta-nails with serated edges. The top is like an upside down "L", a little different than the ones I've seen on nail gun sites. Is there a way to remove these nails without breaking them? I want so badly to restore this hardwood floor but can't get these nails out. Surely someone has a suggestion for me! Our house was built in the early 50's and these hardwood floors are just beautiful. We have lived here since 1977 and have pulled up all the carpet to have the floors refinished. This nail removal has thrown a kink into our progress. Please respond ASAP!! Thanks.
