Just a possible option: I've never tried one of these myself, but I've seen them in tool catalogs for years. They're "Power Twist" belts that you custom-fit for your machine.
I saw that both PowerTwist and Grizzly have them at Amazzon. I'm sure you can find elsewhere as well.
