My tempered glass patio table top shattered and it costs a small fortune to replace the glass. I really like the style of the table, and it's matching chairs. Does anyone have a clever idea of what to use other than glass? I thought about mosaic tile, but my husband doesn't think the aluminum frame (38 x 60) would hold up to the weight. |

Look for plexi-glass, there is a type that won't yellow but I don't recall the name of it at the moment... but it looks exactly like glass.
Another handsome option would be to use ipe decking... it a type of mahogany, it wouldn't even need a finish, (but I would oil it).
