roof troubles?

11/30/2007 11:17 PM billc225

During the summer I had a large tree fall on my roof. Half the roof was replaced along with all of the bracings under the roof. In this area the cold weather just started about two weeks ago. I've noticed that since it's been cold and my heat has been on, my windows and doors have been sweating like I've never seen them. Even the wood on the front door sweats. This morning sweat was dripping from the kitchen ceiling. The kitchen ceiling also had to be replaced. Something has been streaking down the walls of the kitchen. It looks as if something like baby oil has been poured down the walls. Last but not least, I noticed today in the den that the windows had sweat so much that water had pooled in the bottom of them. As I looked around the room I noticed that the paneling behind my furniture was wet and mold was beginning to form. The carpet next to the walls here was also wet. Could someone please tell me what the heck is going on here?!!! Could these problems be caused by the new roof? By the way this is an old house that was remodeled in the 1980's.
