what router did you receive???....because Porter-Cable makes a series of routers w/ interchangeable bases (fixed/plunge/d-handle/router table)...there are also some ohters on the market...just give a brand name and part number...and maybe i can help

unfortunately I don't think there is a seperate plunge base available for your router...i did a quick search through the web and couldn't find anything...best bet would be to check with a salesperson at ***** but i think you'll be looking at buying another router
