I'd like to have someone clarify for me the difference between sanding and stripping hardwood floors. We are currently trying to find a contractor to refinish our floors and don't know what would be better to do. I guess stripping is a more expensive procedure than sanding but what exactly is done differently and how can I determine if I need stripping or if I am just taken for my money?
