seer value of heatpump

I purchased a new home and upgraded the heatpump. I was told the seer would be 12 how can I tell if the condensor and evap are both 12 seer

It is not a case of each of them being 12 SEER is it sthe combination.

And the advertisted SEER is only for a generic combinaion. You need to look of the specific model and size get it. They there well be a range of values depending on the exact combinatio of equipment that you have.
