I was using my weed eater with it plugged into my electrical outlet on my patio when it quit running. Thought it broke then found out the plug was dead along with one in the garage, all the others still work. I could not find a tripped breaker at the panel. Could the plugs be bad in both at the same time, the house is only 3 yrs old

1. Check the appropriate breaker by turning it off, then back on again. Sometimes breaker handles don't move much, and may not look like they have tripped.

2. It's very likely, on a house this new, that outdoor & garage outlets are on a GFCI circuit. The GFCI can trip, turning off the outlet. And it's common to use one GFCI for multiple outlets. So look for a GFCI that is tripped. Often it will just be a small button in the middle between the 2 receptacles on the outlet (either the outdoor one or the garage one (most likely)). Or look for another outlet further back on the same circuit with GFCI protection.
