Sam, I looking for the same thing. I've got these old nine single pain casements even with storms. I still feel a breeze even when calked closed. I have that old ceramic tile construction in mt place the window where just mortered in from the outside. They pop right out with a chisle. I'm mmeting with some window reps this week to see if there's a better (cleaner) installation than morter. Seem that you get a lot of heat or cold transfer using this method. I'll let you know.

Ok. here's what I got from the Andersen Rep.

To secure a casement window in a masonry opening, remove the sash stops fron the new window and pre drill through the side jambs for fasteners. Dry install the window, square it up, and mark the masory to align with the predrilled holes in you window with a thin pencil. Remove the window, use a masonry bit to drill hole to accomedate either expansion sleevs or those new Blue Masonry Screws ( they are pretty slick). Pop the new window in slightly tighten the screws, check squareness again, tighten up the screws and caulk the gaps. Hope this helps.
