Have you used some liquid wrench or similar to help loosen it? Can you drill a hole down the center of the bolt (without damaging the threads of the hole)?

You don't give alot of facts regarding your situation. Is it in a place that can be heated, or torched off. The head of any bolt is where the strength is, can you shave off the head. If no to any of these questions, and you say an easy out doesn't work. Then the only thing I can think of is, you'll have to drill pretty darn straight and drill holes as far into the bolt as possible, like to the bottom of it, and keep using successively larger bits until the hole is large enough where you can just peel out the threads with your hand or a pair of needle nose pliers. PS I've tried those screwouts, they ain't worth a damn!! |
