temporary wall with door............. help :)

11/17/2006 11:57 PM debg1013

Hope this will bring me some results, single mom with 3 kids. Have a dining room that I want to use 3/4 of it for my sons room. I need to put up a temporary wall with door for him. I cant drill or nail anything into the floor. Any suggestions? It is 11 feet across. I was thinking frame with some tension rods inbetween it and light paneling or drywall . but have no idea how to finish it off with the door. I really need some help here.
Thanks in advance, Deb

Seems like your limited on what you can do my concern is with the drywall which is heavy there would be no support to hold the weight since you are not able to nail into the floors. What about getting hooks that can screw into the ceiling (that way when it is removed you can fill the holes in with spackle or white toothpaste) so that you can use pvc pipe and material wrap the material around the pipe to create a divider
