tile into butcher block counter

03/12/2006 01:13 PM mturner25

Hoping not to go into alot of $, we are fixing our older house from the 80's to sell.
The kitchen has the older butcher block top which looks pretty good except in a couple of spots on either side of the cooktop there are a couple of burn marks. Cover with tile?
I had thought of inlaying some small piece of tile, maybe 3-4 inches square which would cover the burn marks and give a spot to set hot items. Any ideas on doing this or not?
