It can be done for looks or for function. If the ceiling is high it wont need the tile but it may look nice. A low ceiling will get spray and steam vapors rising up to it so tile would be more functional there in protecting the ceiling. Paint would blister over time and you may see signs of mildew. A good ceiling exhaust fan would help a lot also. I'm a tileguy so I look to put tile on anything that doesn't move. My daughter is a tilegirl so tell your hubby to put that in his pipe and smoke it. LOL! |
