tiled counter top in kitchen

Getting ready to install countertop for kitchen cabinets, and then install the tile on top... if my cabinets measure 24" front to wall, what should my counter top measure. I'm install a wood front edge piece...

i think 24.5" for the plywood. when you install your wood edge, you will be out to 25 or 25.25"
